About Lauren

What would you like to know?

That I am a carb-addict struggling to kick the habit? Or would you rather read about my aversion to dusting? And why do they call it dusting when clearly undusting is the more appropriate word? That has always bothered me. So much so I am boycotting it until someone can explain the madness.

Maybe it’s best to just say that Jesus exchanged my dead spirit for His life-giving spirit back in 1995 and nothing, and I mean nothing, has been the same since. He has walked me through some rough and not so rough times. Through it all He has been my Rock, my Comforter, my Sure Foundation and my Friend.

I’ve been married since 1989 to a wonderful Romanian man named Julian. He was born and raised there until his family immigrated in the 70’s. We believe that one day, hopefully in this century, we will overcome our cultural differences.

Differences aside, we both agree that God was especially gracious to us when he gifted us with the three children He did. They are a blessing to all who know them and could easily make a parent believe they knew how to raise children. But not us, we are fully aware that every good and perfect gift comes from above.

Consistency bores me. Change should be my middle name. I love the newness of all things, what can I say?

I’m allergic to sweets; they make my butt swell up.

When I look in the mirror I see my mother and surprisingly that’s just fine with me. I’m a woman in my 50’s; daughter of the King of kings, wife, mom, mother-in-law and Ama to little Benjamin “Bear” and Emilia “Mila,” the two best grandchildren ever created. (YAY!)

I’ve loved the Lord Jesus Christ for years but not nearly as well as He has loved me. His grace is amazing and unfailing.

My personal motto: Life is rough, wear a helmet.

“Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” Ephesians 6:17
